Five client handoffs worth automating
Client work becomes difficult when information arrives in one place and is needed in another. A well-designed handoff keeps the next person informed without adding another meeting or checklist to remember.
1. Signed proposal to project setup
When a proposal is signed, create the project record, standard folders, internal channel, and kickoff checklist automatically. Use the approved scope as the source of truth so the delivery team does not have to reconstruct the sale.
2. Kickoff form to working brief
Route structured client answers into a consistent brief. Flag missing inputs for review instead of quietly creating an incomplete document.
3. Internal review to client approval
Once an internal reviewer marks work ready, prepare the client message and approval link. Keep the send action manual when context or tone varies by project.
4. Project activity to status update
Collect completed work, open decisions, and approaching deadlines into a draft update. A producer can then add context instead of spending time gathering facts.
5. Final approval to closeout
Trigger the delivery checklist, archive routine project spaces, request a testimonial at the right moment, and schedule a follow-up. Closeout deserves the same care as onboarding.
